Demo for Workshop
This was a demo I did today for my Workshop at the Gallery. Total time was about 2 hrs. The key was seeing the planes and the gradual temperture and colors shifts within similar values.
So much going on .... teaching one more class today.... finishing up a commission portrait for a client tomorrow .... teaching a workshop in Lincoln tomorrow .... judging an art competition in Roseville on Saturday .... then back to the Gallery for the Auburn Wine Festival in Downtown where I am at ... then Plein Air painting on Sunday for the Placer Grown Farm Tour at Machado's Pie Orchard ..... whew!!!!
I'll post about negotiating a new lease .... tip ... relax and stay still when the owner yells and threatens to walk out ... keep your cool!!!!!

Gotta match???
ReplyDeletethat's really nice work, the volume you've created is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMarian.... thanks for the light!
ReplyDeleteDan ... thanks a whole bunch! Come back any time ....
Frank! This looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI really like how you use the warms and the cools in this piece. You are like an art tornado with everything that you are doing.
ReplyDeleteFrank you always make this look easy.. fabulous, as usual...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - is it done on unprimed linen?
ReplyDeleteHey Jeremy,
ReplyDeleteI use Senso Linen Pads for demo's. It's a great surface. They use linen and then coat it with " Clear Gesso" so that you can see the texture of the weave. I like the color of the linen as well.
Since the linen is a medium value it helps in making the demo go faster..... check it out!
